Welcome LaPlaine QH & Paints.  Henry and Nicole Gauthier have been raising and training APHA and AQHA horses for over 25 yrs and have the pleasure of owning and developing some fantastic stallions including Olimpicool and The New Tallent.   Nicole has been a professional coach for 25 years and has coached hundreds of youth and amateurs at various levels in the all round events, including Western Pleasure, Horsemanship, Showmanship, Halter, Trail, In Hand Trail, Longeline, Equitation, Hunter Under Saddle and Ranch Riding.  Nicole is an APHA Professional Horseman and provides lessons and clinics to all levels of horses and riders.  Nicole holds the 2017 and the 2018 Reserve Breeders Gold Futurity In Hand Trail titles and the 2017 Reserve Breeders Gold Futurity Longeline titles from the APHA world shows as well as several circuit and futurity wins.    Henry has started over 350 colts and has established an exceptional program for the young futurity/ show horse.  Henry specializes in the Western Pleasure, Western Riding, Trail, Halter and Horsemanship and holds multiple Futurity and Circuit Championships, with experience showing in Germany, USA and Canada.  Horses and exhibitors from Henry and Nicole's breeding/training program have brought home multiple World and Reserve World titles as well as multiple World Show top 5 placings at both the APHA Youth and Amateur World Shows and Pinto World Show.  LaPlaine QH & Paints has recently welcomed Leah Currie to the training crew.  Leah has been showing the AQHA circuit for about 20yrs. as a youth and amateur with numerous futurity wins and circuit championships including the Nutrena East Level 1 Champion in the Western Pleasure and Hunter Under Saddle.  As a professional she is the 2019 Zone 10 Yearling Champion and 2019/2020 APHC Highpoint Yearling as well as a multiple futurity wins.   She has also recently completed her Western Equine Program from Olds College.  All 3 of our trainers have completed the Color Breed Council's International Equine Judging Academy.
